Thinking positively about the future requires deeper reflection
The Social Psychological and Personality Science journal has published new research, indicating that individuals were less satisfied with their lives when they predicted a distinct change from their present life after ten years, reports Jamie Ducharme.
“My guess is that people who want to be better and also recognize what stands in the way of doing that are the people who would take action to get to a better place in life,” he says. “It’s not bad to think positively about the future, so long as we think about what stands in the way and how we can overcome it.”
