Chinese dissident Mr. Haitao Zhang was severely tortured by police during the trial, his wife Mrs Aijie Li informed media on Wednesday. She expressed her concern that police is still torturing her husband.  Officers “deprived him of sleep and food, hang by handcuffs from the ceiling and has beaten him”, Mrs. Li said during interview from China. She also said that police officers “burned Mr. Zhang’s head with a lighter and not allowed him to sit [for a prolonged period of time]”.

In November 2016 Xinjiang Court of second instance ordered the human rights activist to serve 19 years in prison for “incitement to subvert the state power”.

How exactly Chinese human rights advocate “incited” to subvert the unlimited power of Communist behemot?

The answer is the current Communist Party of China’s regime conducts aggressive and intensive inhuman campaign of persecutions against dissent in China that is comparable only with the Mao Tse Tung and Stalin purges. Even slightly expressed criticism of Chinese Communists suffices to be tortured, put on “trial”, and unjustly sentenced.

This is what happened to Mr. Zhang, the courageous human rights activist, thanks to whom the outside world could learn about real life in Communist China, particularly in his province Xinjiang. Mr. Zhang is guilty of telling truth about crimes of Chinese Communists to the world.

In his articles that were published by foreign websites Mr. Zhang criticized the Chinese government for its ethnic policy towards Uyghurs, Chinese ethnic group that authorities accused of terrorism.

Xinjiang is home for the largest community of Uyghurs in China. The Chinese province of Xinjiang has borders with Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tibet. Soviet Union renamed Uyghurs original name “Turki” to divide Muslim population of the Tarim Basin (Xinjiang). The Chinese regime of Kuomintang counted Uyghurs as a part of “Hui nationality”. But Mao and his Communist regime returned to name that Soviet Union imposed on “Turki”.

In last four years Chinese Communist regime intensified persecution of Uyghurs concealed as its “anti-terror” policy.

Mr. Zhang was well aware of the fact that the Xinjiang Communist authorities continue purges of innocent Uyghurs. He raised his voice in defense of Uyghur traders in Xinjiang attacked by the Communist armed police at the farmers market when Communist media lied and compared them to “the enemy of the people”.

On June 26th, 2015 Chinese secret police in Chaojiaxingjian arrested and charged Mr. Haito with “an incitement of hatred towards different nationalities” and “a disturbance of public order”. After 5 months police changed its charges from “provoking trouble” to “inciting subversion of state power”.

Chinese police transferred courageous human rights activists to Shatta, the same remote prison in the far-western region of Xinjiang where renowned human rights lawyer Mr. Ghao Zhisheng suffered physical and psychological abuse.
