Cuba’s regime arrested dissident Henry Constantin at Camagüey airport after arrival from Miami. According to the reports he was dragged from the airport by the Cuban’s intelligence DGI agents.
Hours earlier Mr. Asunción Carrillo from Damas De Blanco (Ladies in White), women’s dissident movement, was arrested on the way to church, Cuban dissident Iván Hdez Carrillo Tweeted. It is unknown where she was taken, he said.
According to Cuban American National Foundation, based in Miami, Castro regime’s police arrested 25 members of Damas De Blanco last Sunday, November 20th, 2016. They were detained in Havana, Guantanamo, Matanzas and Santiago de Cuba to prevent from attending the church and in demonstration afterwards, Foundation stated.
In the Cuba’s capital, six women and two opponents were arrested after they left the headquarters of the women’s organization to participate in the demonstration for the release of political prisoners, activist Luisa Ramona Toscano said in interview with Diaro de Cuba.
Another female dissident Cecilla Guerra said that seven women were also arrested at noon as they attempted to reach headquarters of the Damas de Blanco organisation.
In city of Matanzas only three women managed to get to the church while all of the rest were arrested, Iván Hernández Carrillo reported on Twitter.
For several months the Castro regime has persecuted women who were trying to attend church on Sundays.
